Our top 3 child-friendly beaches on the Gold Coast

Traveling with the family? We all know how important it is to keep the little ones happy while on holidays. We have put together a list of the top 3 family friendly beaches on the Gold Coast...think calm waves and amenities close by!

1.TALLEBUDGERA CREEK

One of the most popular beaches, but for good reason! As this beach is set on Tallebudgera creek inlet there are little to no waves. When the tide is out you can explore the rocks to the East end or walk out into the middle of the creek and be immersed in the beauty of this amazing waterway. You will find Neptune's kiosk just off the beach selling coffee, muffins and frozen treats and the updated playground toilets and change-rooms are set to be completed in early 2024.

2. CURRUMBIN ALLEY

A popular learn to surf spot, but also a great little wave for the kids who want to give body boarding a go. A beautiful stretch of beach that is nice and shallow making it super kid-friendly for the little ones to frolic around in the surf. There are also some fantastic rocks to explore as you walk up towards Currumbin point. Extra points for the car parking and toilets across the road at Wallace Nicoll park.

3. IAN DIPPLE LAGOON

Located on the Broadwater, this fabulous stretch of beach really takes the cake. It's the kind of place you can pull up and stay all day. With a large area of playground overlooking the water, the kids will be well entertained before they even get to the beach. The sandbar makes this a perfect protected beach for the kids to explore without having to worry about waves or rips. With lunch at the local fish and chip shop, this spot is a family friendly winner.
